The server advantage is significant, but mason is just a much better player. I tried to explain this to Vaikiss like 3 months ago. He is very good, but not top level talent because he is too slow. It's not his fault his nerve connections to his fingers just are not super amazing. It's like being very good at basketball but only 5'9".
Swiftending should have a better chance. He is really a pro level talent. I'd say either could win.
You may be better than swiftending also, but while I'm sure you would beat Vaikiss 10 out of 10 games on either server....Swiftending is good enough to be a real challenge to you on the lux server at least. It's not obvious who would win.
Excuses are always pathetic, they separate good players from great. If you think the ping is high, quit the game and either cancel the match or change the server. If you are too tired, don't play the game this second, play it tomorrow.
He just has never played someone who like mason who is truly, amazingly good at dota. He didn't know there were people so fast because he doesn't play against pro level competition. It's hard to accept. That's why he thought I was making up bullshit when I told him he is too slow to compete with murs, he really didn't know.
Its not going to get better if you do play him more, Vaikiss. He played cocky and careless against you. He knows your moves now and will beat you more easily.

I really don't understand what 5vs5 has anything to do with 1vs1. It is completely different. 1vs1 is all about patience and calculating your chances.
I've won dozens of 1vs1 tournaments in dota 1, especially with SF but that was due to years of practice and not because i'm Dendi.
