US WEST - Tacos
EU EAST - Storm/Slark/Pudge
EU WEST - Invoker/Ember/Pudge
RUSSIA - Pudge/Dendi/Cyka
SEA - Tinker/Terrorblade/Slark/Bloodseeker
SOUTH AFRICA - Ursa/Wisp/Chris
AUSTRALIA - Legion/Venomancer/Kunkka
mirana invoker and bloodseeker are pretty popular in russia too
though it is not so easy to tell since most of my games turned out not to be actually in russia, but also eu west or east
Tacos sounds about right. Do US west servers actually exist? I always queue up US east and west (cus I live in midwest usa) and get like 1 out of 5 matches in west or less. Really low pop.
The US west servers are pretty bad (higher ping for most) and also overrun with subpar players mostly from central or south america , though some queue US East as well.
There are obviously good players to be found there and even very good ones in south and central america but unless you are regionally from there it makes sense to just avoid it due to communication issue or just plain lack of it.
....in the same way I wouldn't intentionally queue US East or Russia (which are easier wins I hear)

Edit: Oh, and I've seen Bloodseeker EVERY game lately.

It would be interesting to see which heroes get picked the most and on which server, instead of just the combined stats for each hero. Does dota buff have this?
