It is just a balance of wait time and match balancing. Everyone says 'I would wait hours if I could get a 100% balanced match' but the reality is there is only a select few who continue playing the game when the que times are longer than the actual match......

i dont like it because it makes no sense.

a majority of reddit including dotabuff doesn't even have 5k+, what do they know? and the difference between a 6k and 5.5k player is not who goes mid or whatever, there are supports such as sonneiko, zenigata, levi and many more who sit at 6k+ solo mmr who started at 4k-5k and all they do is play support literally.

they should have just done it similar to csgo, but yeah, a 6k player and a 5k player? the difference is huge, denying this wouldn¨'t surprise me if you sit at 3k-4k because these type of shitters believe in elo hell etc and actually want a chance because they assume it'll get them out of their bracket

of course a shitter who can't even get out of 4k bracket would say something like this because they directly assume if valve re-design the matchmaking, they'd have a higher rating. this is why they buy high mmr accounts and ultimately suck with it.

to me, a sub 5k player reminds me of a bot, someone below 4k is sadly not meant to play dota, they should go find another game because clearly you fail to do what dota is meant to be about.

it'd be nice if 5k-5.3k was "Supreme Gold 1", 5.3k-5.5k "Supreme Gold 2" etc.

how are you comparing this to csgo if u suck at csgo

Ignoring everything stupid written so far. How would the idea of brackts work?

It looks nice on paper, but how would the game determine when to put someone in X or Y bracket? It wouldn't be from number of wins or account level because that would be supremely retarded. Game impact? Again, you'd need something weird like hiring people to constantly watch the matches or something, because the stats alone are not reliable on every hero, specially heroes like Treant Protector (can have A LOT more impact than stats would say) or Zeus (can heavily inflate your stats in a match). It'd still need a hidden MMR number system, kind of how dota2 was before Ranked matchmaking was implemented...only then you could see your bracket. Besides, I'm sure some people would find a way to see this hidden number.
