Sorry
My specs
-i7 720qm
-4gb ddr3 ram
-stock fan
-cheapish cooler
-random acer mobo
-acer aspire 5745g
^ jst included the factors that may have been the cause of this overheating
and my temps to tell you the truth I use this software where I tweak my fan to run at a maximum of 4000rpm AND have a cooler AND standfan blowing at fullspeed to my heatsink area.....at this point I can still play dota....but sometimes the program I use to tweak my fan retweeks itself and I can't retweek it back to run at 4000rpm where now its at 1000rpm and at this point it overheats in a matter of minutse
@blunt when laptop fan = 4000rpm ...temps = 76-80 with only Dota 2
but when fan reduces to 1000rpm temps = 90'c resulting in overheat in a few minutes
@vaikiss I want a desktop so fcking bad but my dad won't get me one
and found this laptop cooler which is preety sick

should I get it? :D

i need accurate data.
Pls make 2 screenshots. 1 @ idle and 1 @ Dota2 with speedfan or Everest Ultimate. Its kinda important.
protip: disable Turbo Boost boost - set maximum processor state to 99%
,
btw: I have Acer too, but 5760G
I disassembled it
removed fakin dust covers - much better airflow now
just put book under it so LCD is higher better position and airflow, solved
Jus do what I do, place laptop into freezer, use long cords, set up monitor, mouse, keyboard, and headset on table near by. You'll never over heat, careful tho, you may over eat.
@With_hin.....the dust covers as in where the fan is placed? did you cut the thing out? I've been thinking of cutting the airvents part

ignoring the computer scientist is not smart. Just sayin, still waiting for the screenshots or the temps for CPU,Harddisk,GPU and so on.

Anyone got any experience with CoolerMaster on a notebook? Is it worth it? Is it effective? :D Really need to get a good fan to stop this Dota 2 overheating so I want to know if it's actually worth to get. Thanks in advance
