Sometimes, there comes a point in a game where its simply not possible for a comeback.

E.g. when your team of early gamers is losing 40-20 to a enemy team of 3 hard carries and 2 semi carries at the 40th minute mark.
E.g. when the enemy has mega creeps.

    You get the point.

In such situations, the only way you're making a comeback is when the enemy literally throws their game which probably isn't going to happen.

However, people OFTEN give up waaay before these points are reached. They play with no intention to win, give up last hitting, face checking fog, severely overextending when all five enemy heroes are missing.

It can get so pissy, honestly. Why play like a shit bag? Do you only like games where you're ahead all the way and victory is almost certain? Is it that fun?

I always report those people for reason ability abuse " insult the spirit of dota " -only if they clearly change the level of their play ofc, I don't report people who wanted to ff, but accept the choice of his ally to play, and then continue to-. Works wonder till now

I like games best when I know my opponent is as good or maybe slightly better than me, both teams played well and we get a hard fought victory.

If I am way ahead I usually try to end the game as fast as possible, since that will still be a challenge. But some people like to try to get as many kills as possible when they are way ahead...or as amazing items as possible. I don't begrudge anyone their preferred way to have fun at dota.

But quitting is none of these. I do not believe that people who rage quit, or afk in the fountain, or hide somewhere and beg the enemies to end in all chat could possibly be having fun.

It could be fun to try to fight against the fountain farmers. It could be fun to try to steal ageis or backdoor towers in some desperate last move. It could be fun to go down in a hopeless teamfight defending the last rax....but there is no way hiding and whining is fun.

It would be nice if this was self-evident to everyone...but apparently some people have been rewarded for being whiny cowards in real life and brought that experience into dota. It doesn't work. Change your objectives when the game is bad. I assure you anything is going to be more fun than quitting.

I agree comepletely, people who say gg in team chat and start blaming their own team is such a bad example. People just give up way too easily it's pretty sad and gives dota and themselves a bad rep, this is why i hated the league of legends forfeit option

i just ignore what these funny people do and play my own game even if it is a lost game. i would stay on and play a 1v4 game cause someone abandoned early (and it was on their team but my team just disconnects first). it can be fun still. you get lots of gold and you can buy alot of big items..just play it as it is..

Few things are more satisfying than getting those shitheads in your team and you coincidentally happened to pick Tiny.
