Sure you can. If you want to find out more, try to look for gold div players in top 100 hero rankings and see how many games they've played to get there.
i've checked 5 or 6 top 100 hero pages and the lowest in them was diamond 3
If smaug can be top 6, you can make top 100!!! keep trying, Play 3000 games on one hero. even if you don't get better during those 3000 games you will still make top 100, and if you do get better then you might actually belong there.
no hate to smaug, he isn't actually a bad player, but he wasn't one of the 6 best ODs in the world and I only mentioned him because he spent so much time bragging about it, when all he did was play the hero more then other people.
A couple of my friends are platinum something and on the toplist, they are good with the hero, have good winrate, good KDA, and a lot of games played so it's possible but you'll get knocked out quickly if anyone half decent does a half decent job.
the only hero toplist that included something below diamond was wyntern wyvern, for obvious reasons. if u r in golden division and want to get to top100, u ought to play really a lot of games. over 1k at least, not to mention decent winrate/kda. most probably by the time u get that many games, u gonna get to higher skill bracket as ur skill would have increased.

For example, I noticed that on Spectre everyone was on Diamond or Professional rankings. I was just wondering if a Gold player was able to make it on the charts.
