Why/How is Manta bad on Arc Warden? in General Discussion
Vesper

Hey guys, it's me Vesper again! Pardon my 2.9k scrub brain but I'm really confused as to why Manta Style on Arc Warden is bad. Is it because there are other item actives that are far more useful than just more dps? Because when I checked in terms of DPS, manta seems like a really good choice not to mention the fact that it can confuse enemy heroes as well (600dps if AW is 6-slotted).

it's a 5k gold item that provides literally no dps for the price

it eats your slots and doesnt provide you neither mobility nor dps, you know

      the stuff arc needs

go to demo mode and compare hte dps of manta to other items , you'll understand.

and NO if you get cought it wont save yo ufrom jack shit.

you aren't a jugger/am/spectre/void who walks in and tanks, you're a hero that sits at max range being a gayer sniper

Yeah... I mean the item itself is pretty shit in terms of DPS. But are we going to disregard the illusions? The combined damage of those 4 illusions is 600dps on a 6slotted AW. Please enlighten me

600 dps is literally nothing compared to other real item combos giving you full crowd control and 3-4k

example the dps of the standard build:

and that build gives the ability to reposition at any moment and initate and burst anyone within a nanosecond

i managed to make a manta build that does about 3-4k dps

usually does 3k, but i managed to somehow get it to position for 4k~

it took me 5 mintues to only position it

i couldn't imagine what hell would it be in a real game to position

realistically you're gonna do 2k dps at the low low price of almost dying every time you try to position yourself

you can go for that route with the +600 dps with manta

or you could go with the route of the standard build up there and actually being able to micro and win a hard teamfight.

problem there is that you need all the rest of these items for the manta to have any dps, by itself it wont do shit and it's terrible for splitpushing

p.s manta is terrible at pushing, due to the fact it does shit low damage and towers have damage protection extra against illusions

also, you don't have to make 5 threads on the same topic, just post in the same thread asking a new question
