I done see him as carry, I see him as team fighter utility. That is good with melle heroes.

and to the guy who said he's a weaker sven, the two are still pretty different, mag gets 3.5 seconds of guaranteed aoe clumping whereas sven is just blink stun and 2 shot one maybe two.
mag gets ppl to clump up guaranteed with rp

And magnus is a lot different than sven, he has skewer thing and shockwave nuke, makes a better ganker, sven has a ranged stun, magnus stun is his ult. Sven's going to do a lot more stunning than magnus overall but magnus more of a nuker.

I'm 3468 and climbing without any problems, however, I'll just have bad feeling I'll start to lose again once I hit 3.8k.
It will just bounce between sub 4k and high 3k for couple of weeks, then I'll drop in mid 3k, climb a bit again and so on.

Playin' anything but Slark/Void or SF for me is insta-loss most of the time in 3.4-3.5k since players here just suck so fucking much.
Well I noticed a huge attitude difference as soon as I got into very high like 3700+. All the sudden no one wanted to support (including me cus I suck at it). People were bitching non stop about lanes and feeding and then the truth came out, all these guys started talking about how they were 4k and now they've lost so much mmr cus of players like YOU. If that's how cancerous just the 4k rejects are I can't imagine the actual 4k bracket.
I probably have to brush up on my support play a bit to keep going up. Spamming my best carries works until enemy team picks all early game and you're stuck with shit lanes. Had to lane a solo troll vs void and warlock the other day, it was not good.
Somehow too many people think that team needs "1 hardcarry(spec,void,pa..), 2 supports, 1 offlane(preferrably tank cent, tide) and 1 "typical mid(sf, storm..) hero.". Thing is that you don't have to pick or play by these "rules". Problem often is that the team is "too balanced" and will end up with everything below average - initiation, push, heal, instant damage, ability to gank..
Therefore question whether some hero can be carry is not important and answers will differ depending on pick. If you don't have any hero that is better getting farm on, why not get items on Magnus.
edit: ^ about the attitude, I find it better at 4k+ than at 3k..behaviour, lanes, supporting. Some people even say they want 4th or 5th position. Maybe because I play cm? And I don't really care which hero is left for me.

Initially the enigma called mid and shadowed a pick there, OD randomed his hero, got witch dr, a really nice random, but because "I don't support" he rerolled into OD and then claimed mid. Then I don't remember exactly all the rest but hiphopotumus wanted mid and when he didn't get it picked enigma so he could jungle even though hunterzen was already shadowing enigma jungle, then he proceeds to laugh in hunterzen's face for stealing his pick. So hunterzen goes eff you guys and last picks medusa then farms ancients for 15 mins. So I end up solo jug vs clock, not a huge deal but not ideal and I get beaten back cus they rotate and of course our all carry team doesn't rotate or ward. Pretty stupid and basically everyone fighting during the picking phase, picking lanes others had called, picking heroes others had called and last picking heroes we don't need.
I suck at CM. It's not that I'm unwilling to play supports I am just terrible at it. If I roam I don't gank well and the ganks fail. If I stay in lane I don't zone out well enough. I'm shitty at warding. All stuff I could learn I guess but it'd take more than 10 games.

GL in those 3.7's because its true everyoens fighting for farm wanting to play core and arguing. If you want to rise into the higher bracket Learn to support openlyu pick supprots 20 games in a row and do well. Guess what youll probabaly raise rank quickly.
It's just pure gimmick. But why the hell not trying to build him as a real carry? I know it's not nice and I don't recommend to you to do so. But just try and you'll see how he performs #1 role.

the fact that he can give away his cleave limits him as a carry since you just have him give that same cleave to another carry
but in that case he has to be picked for another pos where it could be something other better than him and if u still want that cleave u have to pick him as carry
so in other words negroid who doesn't even know how to play bounty at 4k doesn't know what he's talking about talks shit out of his ass
simply put magnus is a versatile but situational pick and u shouldn't think of him as your priority pick for a certain position before game because there are stronger picks for each position atm
obviously there are stronger picks but theres no reason he cant be played as a carry out of mid lane or go the carry build
its really the best way to pub with him at minimum

And the end numbers don't even reflect how far ahead we were or at least I was. I was like 9-2-8 or something at one point. I'll have to watch the replay but I think I had aghs and ac around 25 mins. Then magnus wiped our entire team twice.
First time totally took me by surprise cus I have heard of magnus having potential to do this but never actually seen it. We had killed everyone and were on their mid tower then magnus buysback, blinks in, polarities 3-4 of us and wiped us all. Ridiculous. He had a mask or madness he later sold for the divine.
After that I said DP hang back and eul's him, warlock save ult for that blink, cus it was really only disable we had since he would always blink on me but we never quite got it right and he wiped us at least once more.
So question is, is magnus legit? Or did we just play really stupid vs him? I felt like we threw it, standing around together just begging him to ult our whole team and cleave us to death, but at same time he farmed really well and did a shitton of dmg even if he doesn't land perfect ults. I rarely see magnus played and have never seen him get this much farm. Usually he just farms blink and the becomes a ganker/initiator but rarely has this much dmg to carry. Is he reliable or better as an initiator and buffing another carry?
