download a replay of yours and watch 10 minutes of your laning, and then download the replay of a player at least 1k mmr above you and watch 10 minutes.
after that you will be able to tell why you have 2.8k mmr and possibly improve
Well, keep in mind that MMR affects both teams, so if your teammates aren't awesome, the same is true of the opposition. If you're better than your current MMR, you'll be the difference in matches and you'll gradually build up to your proper tier. And if you're not better, then your MMR is appropriate!
tl;dr: patience!
You keep picking hard carries (spectre, void, sniper) and not getting items. You also have bad builds like radiance no boots prophet or rushing bots.
Maybe you should just play a support so you don't have to worry about items as much
Here's your priority list to go from 2k player to 3k player.
1) Know proper item builds. Either look them up or watch a few top live games
2) Learn to last hit really well
3) Carry a TP.
4) Use tp.
Here's your priority list to go from 2k to 3k:
Get better.
Really. If you can't handle 2.8k-3.2k it means you can't handle 3.5k+ or higher matches aswell.
Nothing wrong with your team. It's just you.
