you need MINIMUM 5k to find a competitive team.
at 2k just find some friends and play captains mode. you could try joinDota too if you want to be in a competitive environment.
but you're not gonna find anyone to play with here.

basically like a lot of people here are salty assholes, and mmr means everything here. mmr dicates your rights, how much you can say, whether you are right or wrong, EVERYTHING is related to mmr. so basically its like the world but in a smaller scale. kind of like a little digital terrarium of the world. in fact it is when i think about it

im 99% sure 5k is not high enough to play at a competitive level at all, or if u are on a team its because of cred/connections and/or ur way better than 5k since u have started practicing n scrims
