abuse with sf in ur team
block an opponent so he cant run (cogs = 5 seconds stun in a sense, if u got enough dmg)
when u got another stun and ur opponent has creeps that absorb the battery assault shit (enigma, furion)
but idk all of that is quite specific i believe there are only very few cases where u actually do this, if ever, but especially with an sf in ur team
Simply walking up to an enemy and trapping them in cogs will only work if they're super slow or just blind. You can of course use fog, predict their movements when supports are going for pulls or runes. Battery assault to catch up with enemy and then using cogs is just easier. Not to mention, cogs doesn't deal any damage if you just wanna trap and not burn mana. It can be used defensively if you don't have level 1 kill potential and just want to save your offlaner or yourself. That being said, Clockwerk is fairly tanky and with boots level 1 and battery assault can make life hell for most heroes out there.
Clock roam is legit.
I always go for cog's first.
Block the wave and after i use it to block the enemy offlaner. i use it close to the trees so if he want to run. he'll have to walk a long path and get hit by the cogs, this give time do the other support and the carry kill him.
At lv2 you know what you have to do...
Cog first i guess, its like 5scd root to trap the offlaner, get the 1st blood
Then lvl 2 start to hunt the retarted afk jungler,in SEA we always have 1,or maybe even 2
Buy wind lace and stout,1 clarity to help u chasing ur prey
How the heck can u trap offlaner with lvl 1 cogs ? xd
Are u playin in potato bracket or what ?
Cogs first is amazing. It is a high utility spell that can do damage if you want it to. Block ramps or ganks early also very long "stun" if you trap an enemy. Also SF can Deny the cogs in fountain for souls before match.
@Lex you don't trap him inside, you block the way so he can't run in a straight line to his tower, if he try, he'll get pushed by the cogs.
High skill, Very high skill games btw

I tried to play roaming clockwerk and it felt really good, but there is one thing im not quiet sure about yet;
Whats the thought process for the decision of getting battery assault or cogs at lvl 1?
whats the purpose of cogs at lvl one?
-only for the reason to block creeps?
-maybe burn mana of an enemy hero?
battery assault seems like the obvious choice to me, but i want to know some possible benefits for getting cogs at lvl 1.
