Because arcanas exist. Valve has been trying to rework techies into a sensible hero for a while now, but every iteration of techies is just obnoxious in some way.

All pick should not have techies in it, but there should be a new mode called bomberman where everyone who wants to play techies, can do so, so if you want to play techies you go play it to your heart's content, against other techies players.

Normally I don't believe in gods or the afterlife, but I would be too afraid to do something like this just on the tiniest off chance that god and the afterlife exist. Because then I'd be judged. And what defense could I push for this behavior?
What happens when I die? I know I was a really bad person. Much worse than murderers and rapists. Yet I do not want to end up in hell. What should I tell god? God, I wasn't that bad? God knows. He would know that I abandoned games I didn't want to finish, ended up with the lowest BHS mark. He'll also know that I picked the abomination among heroes, in order to make other people miserable.
I would be punished and I would not like it. Dota is the only thing that can temporarily change my religious views.

It seems IceFrog really has no intention of making techies actually a playable hero in the pro scene or high mmr so why not just remove him? I just hate having techies in my game, either short game or 2 hour game kinda just wish they would take him out.
