i hate people who keep diving jesus christ
im conservative, and i do miss kills, but imo its better to fail a gank than feed all ur heroes
that being said im not a suicide and win support or smth like sb, i play mostly cores
deaths cannot be afforded
Prefer the former. Being the first type myself. Yes people who just sit back are very annoying. I extremely dislike passive games. I think it is much easier to gain an advantage when more stuff is happening, rather thN everyone being so cautious all the time.
Although I am learning to be more like the latter to try and improve.
Being over aggressive is annoying but at least people are trying. The more infuriating thing is when there could've been a favourable trade but someone is too conservative or doesn't even join fights.
i mean both
but i see a lot more of people thinking theyre strong
and just keep on trying to gank and make shit happen
when we need to take a backseat
and all we end up doing is feeding
First one
People who do the latter tend to not be able to use whatever they have properly
Aggressive one!
Would rather have some YOLO dotes than being a sitting duck forever.
That being said, I am quite the aggressive player myself.
Tough one, they're both annoying but I think passive players are the worst.
There's nothing more triggering than your passive initiator never going in. If it was for them you'd never fight during the entire game, you'd just wait for the enemy team to pick someone off or you'd end up going in as Kotl out of desperation. Or carries who don't do anything if they're not 27-slotted, even if your team as a whole is dominating the enemy and you have a chance to take objectives.
Also I find it's easier to make an aggressive player stop going in in bad situations than make a passive player start doing something.
I'd prefer passive teammates, but it's because I can get hyper-aggressive. They're a good foil. Plus SEA 3K aggression is EE levels of crazy(jump in 4 enemies with 2 teammates still far behind), so no thanks, i'd take the players who would hold highground w Sniper then counter-deathball after several defenses
Take care of your team, and they take care of you when you need it that's the best Philosophy for Dota or it should be. teammates should care their backs, A carry with support's help is better than a carry without support's help. A mediocre carry will win if he gets good supports but a Really good carry will lose if he gets mediocre supports, never get calls answered, they feed too much etc, etc. Same for off's and Mid i guess.
Coordination is King, chain stuns at high skill are better than nukes, because you can control a whole TF by staying focused and with a good direction. That's why most of the Captains back then were Supports.
I am a guardian 4 stars, in this bracket , players tend to be very aggressive resulting to a massive miscalculations and poor decision making when it comes to teamwork/team play. I prefer to have teammates who waits for the perfect opportunity to gank , push and def.
KYS BWS YOU ARE JUST JELLY HOW I AM ABLE TO MAINTAIN HAVING 600 GPM EVERY GAME WITH AN AMAZING IMPACT IN THE GAME
I usually play support and hate passive teammates. Especially if both teams are in position for teamfight and they walk back bit by bit. Even if we are in a favorable position. I simply cannot adapt to that. Even if i try my best I just end up beeing out of position sooner or later.
Its even more frustrating if you play an initiator and there is like no followup ever. They just let you die there.
Its important in dota that no matter what is being done, it should be done as a TEAM and everyone should be on the same page. So if one guy wants to go really deep, thats fine, as long as the team is also with him. Or if one guy is looking for that perfect moment, the team can bait for him so he can get that 5man black hole. But I generally like to play with people who just cast their spells.

I still remember bws played offlane role as tidehunter and afk farmed and did not use his spells. Xd
Problem with the latter is that there will most likely never be a "perfect opportunity", so they basically never use their skills.
People watch too many ti highlight videos and are convinced their ultimate can only have an impact if done on exactly 5 heroes (very common in lower average games).
agressive ones
nothing worse then having an enigma or magnus that wait all game for a 5man BH/RP end never use it or after the whole team died already

Too aggressive teammates who are not scared but over commits / tunnel vision
or
Too calculating teammates who ONLY waits for that "perfect" opportunity
Thoughts pls based on your badges and current bracket.
