why do you need to move your mouse 100x more and overstrain your wrist when you can just use 4 buttons
WASD or edge pan, both are equal and completely based on personal preference. Different story with middle mouse scroll, that shit seems clunky
I use WASD. I never got into the starcraft/dota1 scene and was heavy into MMOs all my life. Eventually a friend got me into dota 2 and I just used what I was familiar with.
My controls are pretty simple tbh.
W = Camera up
S = Camera down
A = Camera left
D = camera right
1 = Q
2 = W
3 = E
4 = Ultimate
5/6 = additional abilities
ZXCVBN are my items.
I'd like to play edge pan maybe someday but I'm just too familiarized with WASD now.
Camera grip.
I just feel like I don't have access to everything if I lose 4 keys to navigate the camera.
/e: Quick, easy access anyway.
Because if you use WASD you donn't have your fucking fingers ready on your fucking skills and items!!!!!!!
And that's without taking into account shop hotkeys, courier mov and usage, glyph and other shit
Edge pan, then double tap 1 to quickly recenter on hero.
QWER as normal.
ZXCV, altZ and alt X for items.
1920x1080 screen(native to my laptop)
3000 camera speed on dota, 500 dpi, 500 Hz polling rate
WASD to move camera.
3 Items on 1, 2 and 3
3 Items on mouse
4 Skills on mouse
Skill 5 and 6 on E and R
F1 stop
F2 - F4 curier
F Buy sticky
Voice Chat on ^
Chatwheel on G
Forced Atack on Q
Select own Hero on Space
I use quite more, but that are the most intersting i think
I started out using WASD because that's what I was accustomed to from other games.
Then I decided to try out edge pan but having to move my mouse all the way to the edge of the screen every time I wanted to move the camera was annoying and disorienting.
In the end I switched to camera grip on one of my mouse thumb buttons to free up my fingers, free up buttons on my keyboard, and keep my cursor closer to where I want it rather than the edge of the screen.
8000 camera speed
50 stop speed
16000 CPI
1000 Hz polling rate
Goethe- never had problem with that
maybe because I play on 2100 dpi (It feels much more comfortable to just move the wrist for me)
but with edge pan I feel that my movement and control is much more stable, with grip or WASD I get overwhelmed when need to focus on multiple things
Listen up you cucks. I tried using wasd. How the fuck do you have hot keys if you use wasd for camera?
I'm 100% sure it's less efficient to use keys for camera.

How do u guys handle camera movement ?
I use the edge pan with mouse movement @8000 speed and @50 stop speed.
