Pudge lvl 1 has nothing. No armor, poor dmage. Just go aggresssive on him right at lvl 1, maybe get both sups there, kill him and kill him again when he tps back. Ez. Underleveled Pudge is a glorified creep.

Don't stand where he can hook you between the tress into tower range.

He is obnoxious I get it, but I think I have the my highest win rate against Pudge.

last game, lvl 20 pudge, total fuckign spammer, missed 4 hook when 2 enemies where in a fucking line, ruined my whole fuckign xp and nerves

i ain't even mad if the pudge is on the enemy team, i hate them even more in my own team. go on, sit afk in the trees on my lane, suck up exp, miss 2 fuckin obvious hooks, waddle in, die, walk to other lane, repeat. jesus christ.

Iminsul I agree. Pudge in your own team can be a nightmare. Pudge is not a support hero, he sucks at that role. I think Pudge is a core, mainly a mid if you need someone that comes online fast, dictates the tempo and creates space for you pos1. I have met very few people who can play a proper Pudge. Those who do are pretty amazing though.

Pudge is such a bad hero this patch honestly. Just have proper vision in the laning stage so he can't shut you down, and pick heroes that work properly. I love picking a naga or ursa or sven or jug, whatever versatile hero that loves to be hooked and then slamma jamma on that hamma. Pick Naga, get hooked, hit Q, hit W, right click and watch him melt.

Real tips to dodge hooks:

1. If a pudge is walking toward you, walk in a straight line, and watch his model carefully. When his hook animation begins, immediately click a perpendicular path to where you were walking. A slight adjustment won't get you out of the way in time, you need to go completely sideways.

2. Stay the hell away from choke points. If you walk into a ramp, or a treeline, or near a tower, your hero runs out of options to maneuver around the hook. A good pudge will get a 100% hook on you in those spots.

3. Never stand still. If you're last hitting, walk into the wave and last hit where you're surrounded by other targets that the hook will hit.

4. Keep a better mental note of day and night time and play to your vision advantage. Pudge needs wards to get hooks off at night time. If you're dewarding consistently he'll have a hard time seeing what he's throwing hooks at, and likewise, you'll see the hook coming if you have vision of where he's standing.

5. Play heroes with instant cast stuns or jukes. You can often avoid getting dismembered by pre-casting your spell or item while you're being hooked. If you have a euls, just target the euls on pudge when he hooks you and you may be able to walk away. Puck can phase shift, lion and shaman can hex, shaker can echo, etc.

Sometimes in life is good to stop, do you walk to work around least some nature or maybe park is close? Sit there on grass or bench after or before work, just look around and enjoy at least 10m there, appreciate moment since you're awesome, appreciate your health and life which you can live, there are ppl who struggle for thousands of reasons, we dotabuffers are all happy ppl, and if you think you're not,you just not appreciate what you got, everyone who have time post on db and play dota - live a amazing life full of opportunities.

I love sometimes pudge as enemy or team and sometimes I hate him.

I remember one game as Gyro with aghs and pudge as enemy. Pudge hook to my team mate I did go between em clicking Rockets,missile and satanic on and Pudge got bit too big fish on hook =D

I think the hero is fine, but i dont think he is first pick material in 40% of the games, thats what pisses me off.

I dont know how it is for you divine players but first of all the overall skill is so much higher and i doubt people first pick pudge in divine if they arent griefing. Which pretty much says it all about first pick pudge.

I have played 76% support in ranked season 3 my top 3 support picks dazzle lion and ogre. So im not a toxic griefing troll.
