I have never had a good experience with earth spirit. Maybe there are good players, I have never had one on my team.
Also luckily I haven’t seen him for years but previously almost all of the 30 or so times I’ve had a lone Druid on my team he has gone jungle to farm a radiance - about a 33% winrate with lone Druid.
every heroes have their ups and downs
but i would say pudge, judging based on tournaments/events because i played from 2015 and have very rarely seen pudge got 1st phase banned on competitive matches
Worst hero is hero that you hate to see in game. For some reason.
I hate viper, boring hero annoying to deal with, counter pick for one of mine favorite TA(for most of time), and and the and never seen any big pro play with him. Even when he was in meta, no big play. I don`t say he is bad or that he haven`t see any play, just boring hero for me. Boring to play too.
jakiro was one of the most picked heros with a 70% winarte in one of the recent tournaments :)
the worst hero has to be pudge.
I hate playing with Pudge and Techies. Those heroes need to make so much impact to be useful, but people can't even set up a hook or mines. And of course, when enemy pick them, they know what to do.
Dude, lone druid is what I fear my teammates picking. I wish I could play him well I've tried, even for someone who enjoys the micro aspect of the game he really is at the bottom of the rug right now isn't he?
Thing is, he kinda hasn't changed much since the dota 1 days & the games are just getting faster. If you wanted a companion or just a regular push dude lycan could easily take that place. Don't tell me how his true value lies in being a 12 slotted hero, that's kinda overkill, 6 is more than enough to end a game.
100% lone druid
even a top 1000 lone druid player cant win 4k trash game on his own
feelsbadman
I would even say Jakiro is a bit underrated.
I agree that pudge might be the worst hero in dota. He is way overrated and should be nerfed cause no hero in the game should have a 40% pickrate. I wouldnt mind him getting a serious nerf only to force people to stop playing him. Lower all damage rot/hook, increase cooldowns. Lower his strength gain and rot slow. Nerf flesh heap range and go back to 4 stages of hook range and nerf range at level 4.
@Kowareta yes he can we had that situation like 4 days ago when our offlane druid solo won the game while we were sucking
dont compare ur bracket to mine plz. tnx.
my jakiro cant use his fucking spell on tower or enemy, all he know is pulling wave and farming them. he even cant pressure enemy objectives with me, like we can get tier 2 and 1 < min 14 but he prefer tp top and feed enemy pos 1. despite im asking him to help me nonstop in human common language.
with this ape who dont know shit about objectives , u cant have a good start and u will suck!
Techies. Not for any game winning or losing reason, but I still don't think there should exist a hero which fundamentally changes the way the game has to be played by presence alone.
i think every heroes are op if its played in a right match by a good player with good hero and game knowledge? idk its like mageE am and gh io/es
Not just in this patch but has been a little lackluster in terms of game impact since forever, either because it is too situational or just needs too much work for it to be viable/impactful in game
Lone Druid
Also what are some heroes you dread seeing your teammates pick in a pub game?
Rubick
Rubbick = too often played pos 5 but doesn't do anything
Lone druid = rarely see him but when he is picked, it's a handicap
Death Prophet = outplayed by a lot of other heroes in low MMR pubs
@Yami Yugi
Rubick is such a high skilled hero and most players actually lack the skill to play him to his potentional. I think most players that pick rubick could have played any ranged hero with a stun and done the same job in the game.
When i say most players i dont talk about divine/immortal i talk about the average players.
@varjager can't agree more, hence those were my answer in my bracket games. The heroes successfully halt my winstreak with 2 lose in a row at some point. I would definitely answer another if I were an Immortal.
Lone druid = rarely see him but when he is picked, it's a handicap
Yeah rarely seen him but that is the case of the entire dota history of mine summarized
Not just in this patch but has been a little lackluster in terms of game impact since forever
neture prophet is good for pro/coordinated teams but every game I have a NP in pubs he just steals farm from pos 1 and 2 and gives extra farm to enemy carry with treants.
I myself see several candidates
Tiny - this hero is trash for so long, except one short window he got some buffs and than got nerfs.
DK - somehow dead hero for a while
Slardar - there is always better pick than Slardar
Troll - this hero feels just wrong every time
Venomancer - Except the green cancer time he was always bad
Puck - I just dont like the style of the hero, always felt like bad pick, unless there was some smurf on him.
Void - for a while there is no role for him - for offlaner he is quite weak and needs designated support, for carry he is not strong enough into late game.
Treant - again, there is (almost) always better pick. And always was.
First three were always my favourites, but they were for most of the time unplayable, so I have only few games on them.
But I think the worst is tiny - he is so useless for so much time.
The timeless classic
Phantom Assassin
Riki
Techies
But right now is tinker and Ember
Both has great global presence with spammable abilities and quick farming tools. If Enemy team has them, ill be fked and if my team who uses these they go full retard mode. Difference is Tinker is not meta worthy for now while Ember is meditating on top picks and his new immortal
I can't tell which one is the worst, but I can tell which one I am most disappointed with: Mirana. Ever since her Starstorm got nerfed I find no place for her. She used to be my most played, highest win rate and longest win streak hero. Now she feels useless. For all positions from 5 to 2 there are just dozens of better heroes who do more with the same amount, if not less farm.
Invoker after the nerf to Alactrity. Honestly itslike 1 out of 50 invokers in my last games that do anything. They all lose mid spend 20 Min Afk Farming and Missing sunstrikes only to finally get aghs get ganked times giving a huge exp lead away then to lose at 3o min because Both Enemy Mid and Position 1 Bought BKB's
Treant Protector.
Haven't seen him quite a while, least pick on most games, maybe he's on vacation.
Weird, since 6 month ago i continously met some exceptional player on one hero, like this match
https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/4892089775
The pudge is fucking good at hooking and calling
Or this one
https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/4891708612
Superb timber plays and tempo control
Ye, but some heroes deman much more to make the same impact as others.
I really don't like snowballing heroes, while I always what to pick them. Things like Veno (who is in complete shit rn, so many STR cores and offlanes, they just build a pipe and outregen all you do), Puck (after the ult nerf the hero just feels so weak. I mean his waveclear is great, but he just feels so underwhelming, and the fact that they almost gave his E to MK is baffling), Treant, Nyx (he's my fav, but for the love of god his W is just so bad in this STR core meta. So little INT heroes to do actual damage to, you just burn like 100-120 mana from some Centaur and he doesn't even care, cause he got direct mana from items, not int. And the aghs... just why? Nyx is a highly mobile hight stake hero that is about setting up good lines for impale and constantly manaburning people and they give him... a stationary aghs. It's OK, but I hoped so much for better things. Like a aghs that would make your W deal dmg based on enemie's main atribute or smth), Pugna (the STR core meta just fucks a lot of heroes).

While everyone's talking about what heroes wins their games, I wanna talk about the worst ones.
What's the worst hero in dota in your opinion? Not just in this patch but has been a little lackluster in terms of game impact since forever, either because it is too situational or just needs too much work for it to be viable/impactful in game.
