When to skip radiance / go manta diffu on Spectre in General Discussion

I saw some spec players going manta diffu first before rad or not building rad at all. When is the best time to do it?

Radiance is an item to fasten your farm, because Spectre is slow farm hero he really need radiance in order to farm fastly. Radiance is really good, but has very specific timing. You ideally want to pick it up pre-20 minutes or 25 minutes still consider as good, and no later than 30 minutes. If you're getting it later than that, you're just wasting too much time farming for an item that primarily increases your farm. So if it's 10 minutes into the game, and you're still on brown boots and PMS and Wand and don't have gold left over, don't even both trying to farm the radiance.

Because radiance is an expensive items and really hard to build, while on this phase Spectre can only focus on farm and will never come online. Spectre is an item dependent hero, but even though you want to skip radiance if the time mark already go beyond 25 minutes you would want to still consider on Spectre because radiance on Spectre gives MASSIVE teamfight, so I personally hold, that radiance is an item that Spectre must build EVERY SINGLE GAME. However, the timing and smaller items before it can differ from game to game.

It really depend of the matchups and time of the game. Since desolate grants pure damage for you and for your illusions, you can have 195 PURE damage with a manta, ignoring high armor on heroes. It's like your free divine rapier, plus a farming tool, plus a disjoint ability, plus more ms for chasing and plus stats. However, if the enemy has a high HP pool or summons, clones, other illusions, etc, desolate will not proc properly and so your manta have it's efficiency reduced. The point is that is much easier to farm a manta if you bought a radiance before, but it depends on the game, as I said. Sometimes, radiance will proc much better, giving you a slightly evasion from right clickers an a better ultimate. But, sometimes, stats (which work on illus), +desolate and the ability to reality+manta+reality back will be better and much safer choice. It's all about decision making. the time of the game (15min, 20min, 25min, 30min) can really influence on the item.

So I think you should skip radiance if the time mark goes beyond 25 minutes and from the early game you know that you didn't get much farm but event though this is a rule but it's not always apply in every game, even when you get radiance at 30 minutes but most of your tower still up and can hold the game for another 10 minutes or something you should go for radiance. So it's all depends on the situation.

Basically from what I've heard from my friend that spams the fucking hero, whenever you get kinda shit on in lane you go manta/diffu or if they have a naix/a lineup of heroes that are mana reliant like Tinker or Morph.

Back when Badman was abusing her, the consensus was a game you could win with radiance was a game you could win with manta/diffusal but the opposte wasn't true.

Anyway, don't all the cool kids get Midas on Spec these days?
