I have some thoughts on this.
I stopped playing dota in approx 2014 (calibrated 3k, climbed quickly to 4k then stopped playing(top 10%).
I started back dota about a month ago and calibrated legend 2, then dropped to archon 3 pretty quickly.
I lost a lot of my mechanical skill and obviously game knowledge became obsolete in many cases due to high number of game changes, so I was constantly making wrong decisions/itemizations etc.
My problems right now are similar to a player who has never been in a medium/high mmr in that they have mechanical/knowledge problems, so we might have a similar situation. Here is my solution that made me climb to 4k in 2014.
1 - Pick a certain role and stick to it (do not play random heroes like i did for the past couple weeks with meh wr)
2 - play the same archetype of hero (e.g. magina is my favourite hero, so i will start playing him > if he is banned i go terrorblade > if he is banned i go something else that can splitpush)
3 - watch tutorial videos like from BSJ on the SAME archetype hero as you play, in a bracket above you. Then go play games while its fresh in your head and consciously implement the tips.
Honestly this is the best way to improve. The downside is you will build a niche understanding of dota from your role/archetype's perspective and not understand other roles/archetypes at the same level. That's just dota.
party stack will not help u only makes u figure that your mates hate u cause they know u suck. so what u can do is find a hero that u think is good to get mmr with and see how better players at higher mmr are grinding with it. watch fucking games of people higher mmr play same hero git gud. easy formula.

If you can't climb mmr alone, then you does not deserve in higher bracket.
Simple tips for you:
1. Buy a dotaplus to block all that tilted teammates and blamer. Block every single one you see.
2. Turn on strict solo. This is to prevent some smurf playing with their friends in lower bracket.
3. Choose your roles and master the heroes you need/wanted to play. If you master the heroes well, you can win even it is a bad matchup.
i calibrated at 2,5k mmr and climbed my way up to ancient in 2019. havent played in almost a year and dropped to archon 4 bcs i lost some game feel and my mechanics are rusty. Based on my experience here i think most player at archon simply dont put enough pressure before the 10 min mark. try to communicate with your teammates and gank the enemy. and please stop wasting time trying to gank and 5-man ing. if you guys are not killing heroes, just keep killing creepwaves, like i said, apply pressure.
Find the role you enjoy most, get 3 heroes from that role that you enjoy most, get good at the fundamentals of those heroes and the role
I used to be stuck in archon, but after Valve boosted the mmr of smurfs it was really very easy. All you need is to just spam one or two heroes. You need to be aggressive as a support, play safe as a carry. The higher your networth, the more hero damage you should be doing and possibly tanking more. If you have the highest networth but dealt the least dmg you would be a failure. Focus on efficiency, which is given a networth, but contributing the most to your team.
Use the mute button and don't play too many heroes/roles. Focus on 2-3 max. Adapt to the bracket's playstyle when it's possible and not damaging. If you know games will last long no matter what then prioritize farming and killing, unless there's no way for your draft to win the late game. In that case explain your plan to end early as soon as the game starts and try to guide your teammates.

The easiest way to climb (in all brackets) is to constantly check your net worth graph. If you are top of the net worth constantly it's pretty much impossible not to climb. Dota is a game of net worth. As a mid/carry you want to snowball with net worth lead. You don't need to have 20 kills to win games, just always stay ahead of the enemy. When you hit a timing when you feel they can't stop you anymore, you go rosh & then hg & end the game.
Even when you play offlane at your bracket you should play net worth game. I'm 100% sure that if you put 7k+ player in the offlane in your games, he would still be top net worth in pretty much every game. People underestimate how farming & net worth is important.

^Tell that to all lower mmr players that constantly want to fight and randomly die on the map. They play fight Dota, not net worth Dota. Even in Divine bracket people don't understand that networth wins games. I was coached by a guy who is rank 30 eu and he analyses the smallest details in terms of net worth (like getting 2 denies is worth even if he losses 30% hp because 1 tango is 30 gold & took away 60 gold from the enemy etc.) or dying in mid lane might be worth it in certain situations. It also changes the way you approach fights, split pushing the map etc. This is super advanced stuff & I believe as a mid/carry you don't need to think about anything else besides maximising net worth.

Help pls. I know my winrate is pretty low. Its so hard here. The game always 40+ mins with lock item heroes.
