Personnaly, as I used everything in legacy, all I wanted was a mouse with 2 button + wheel; so i bought a razer abyssus, and i'm very happy of it, i even rebought one more when the first died, and there was still two free rune for ... LoL (so ofc i gave them to an irl friend)
Notes from an old gamer....the most control in a RPG/MOBA/Strategy game comes from the keyboard. Buying an overly priced mouse with 6000 DPI and 20 buttons is absurd.
Some of the mid range Naga Razer ones are quite nifty though I think that you have to go with what you feel works for you as the contours of a gaming mouse vary from person to person and being comfortable with it is most important.
I have steadily rebought a MX518 and its newer partners and it has been one of the best serving comfortable mice i have used but again it falls down to opinion and what you are comfortable gaming with.
I have an Mx-518, which sadly died after 5 years of unquestionable devotion.
Razor naga seems to have issues with the left click button not responding after about a years use.
@Superman G700 seemed to have an issue with mouse hanging which im told has been corrected in the g700s
Steelseries Sensei seems kinda the same as mx-518, only more pricey.

@drakness I'm a bit skeptical. This mouse seems bred for fps games.. I'm not sure how it applies to Dota 2 scene. The 2buttons on left is fine. Bt it'll b hard to use the other 2buttons on the right side. More over razor mouse seems to have issues with button click which begins abt a year after buying them.

Get a Razer Hex. Nagas are for RPGs. Hex's are designed for mobas.
Pretty much whatever you're comfortable with. Personally I really like the Razer Abyssus! I Have a Razer Deathadder but honestly I prefer the Abyssus for its simplicity and the fact it's very light and relatively small and throwable.
steel series sensei does the job for me altho doesn't matter what mouse u got if ur hands are broken no mouse will help u to get better
Another abyssyss user here lol, it worked fine for 3 years, week ago I got right click broken, thinking of buying another abyssyss because I got very used to it or steelseries sensei raw, but it's a bit more expensive.

Well i have it and i can say its really good for mobas
You have 3 buttons on the left to assign hotkeys
And if you tweak the configuration of the mouse right ones will be easy to use aswell
I have this for 7 months and its working no problems
The only razer product I would recommend is the Deathadder due to its one of the best sensors in the market, but generally their quality is pretty shit.
Corsair/Roccat mices are good to use.
Razer Imperator right now. Very reactive and high quality sensor. Smoothest mouse I've ever used in about 15 years of PC gaming... Haven't seen the wear and tear yet after about 6 months but I'm sure I will.
Otherwise, some of the more classic logitech gaming mice have lasted me years and do the job.

Sensei is a retarded mouse, it double clicking after just 2 months. One of my friend encounter same issue after just a month. My roommate bought the same mouse, only he doesn't encounter any issue so far.
So, 2 out of 3. Really bad quality. Cost me $85 for the prime quality.
I recently bought kana for $13, but it's small comparing to sensei, hopefully it won't double clicking soon.
ANYWAY, expensive mouse won't make you play better, just find a mouse you feel comfortable with, I like steelseries' design, but it's quality is too retarded.
By the way, I got a Kinzu years ago, and it double clicking, too.
You better know how to replace microswitch if you are considering steelseries.

any gaming mouse would do. Just don't get wireless ones that require batteries. Also there's more input lag on those dem wireless so stick to optical wired ones. Razer Deathadder or any simple high dpi mouse would do. multibutton sometimes work but I'd rather get one that will last longer than 3 million clicks. Cuz honestly deathadder gets worn out by 3-6 months of dota.
I was going to say while I equally like the G700, wireless mice are just the devil when the battery gets low. Unless you have one of those dockable ones but hey, grats on the new mouse.

Best dota 2 mouse imo, the adjustable buttons on the left make perfect stick hotkeys, saved my life many times, also strong grip and amazing precision.
Just don't get wireless mouse. they are not lag free and people will resume when yer looking for batteries.

Interesting to hear about the razer naga's left click bumming out after a year - i always thought it was just me being a fail c**t. I currently use naga hex, but I'm gonna go back to my logitech g500.

I prefer to press the skills on my keyboard, so i'm really into the deathadder for the comfort and feel. But my brother prefers the naga over it. So it comes down to a subjective preference.
Personally got myself a Logitech G700S earlier this year. I have to say it's an excellent mouse and is very robust. The best feature has got to be the wireless and wired combo for sure. You won't be dissapointed.

I have a steelseries sensei. Bought it for shooting games but then I discovered dotE 2.
I'm using the SS Sensei, and I think it's an amazing mouse. Would totally recommend it to you. My previous mouse was a Razer Imperator, which died after 1 year, after that, I told myself to stay away from Razer products.
fuck razer mouses, they're good for MMOs, but no point in having a naga when you play dota. I use a steelseries sensei with RAW grip (this is my 5th steelseries mouse, I had them all!) and i can tell you it's the best fit for me as a lefthanded guy.

My mouse has died on me for a while now so I haven't been able to play any Dota in the last month. With Christmas around the corner I'm thinking if getting a good mouse. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
