But if we are submitting ideas how about a "recently played by verified' tab on each heroes profile so we can see how the pros have been playing certain heroes.
Plus you should have a separate winrate for ranked and non ranked and display only ranked on peoples pages by default
it would be nice if this forum was slightly more structured. That said i think some of the appeal is that it is the wild west of dota communities.
a search feature would be nice. a general forum / competitive forum / complaining forum as the three main forums would be cool as well.

I wasn't asking for a post count. I was asking why there isn't one. If you're looking for a looking for a misrepresentation of respect on the forums it's winrate / KDA. It's basically a post count instead of spamming forums you spam games stomping rands to increase it sort of like posting in a Gaia online "random forum" section or a D2JSP - "General chat". You're just trying to increase it so people value your opinion.
I only say that from my exp on msgforums (metal gear solid)
It has a gay ranked system and if you have a low amount of posts people basically tell you to shove your opinions. Its the lamest thing I have ever seen. There are even threads that end with: Only posts from rank xxx and above please.

Yeah, that's pretty retarded. In all honesty, do we actually value anyone's opinion with a 40% winrate and 2k games? We'd just call him a baddie and never value the fact that he thinks X is better than Y for Z reason regardless of if he was right or wrong. There's always going to be some value of factors on a message board or a forum that determines if you're respected or not. whether it be that you earned it via positive contributions or just faking it out such as kids with 800.0 kda's from cheating/spam. At that point, a post count really doesn't matter. A join date wouldn't matter either.
That ranking system is fucking retarded however lol.

3. Not really sure, if we will need them at this point. We are considering a sub-forum for Russian-speakers, but don't know how useful sub-forums overall will be.

The russian people have laid claim to the english speaking MAINforum and will not be subjugated to a russian SUBforum. Give those fat americans a subforum
200 subforums would be stupid, you would mostly need 3-4.
One for dotabuff-related stuff, like blog posts, suggestions, news.
One for game-related stuff, heroes, gameplay, meta, need help, how it works, tournaments, anything
One for community-related stuff, Im streaming, he sucks, who has bigger e-peen, what are you listening to, etc
Thats kinda enough, you can still put every topic into one of these. Clicking into sub-sections is soo annoying when its not neccesary, just put some checkboxes at the top of the page and if i unselect some chategories, those posts disappear till i select it again.
What I would like is a list of a person's posts, Im not sure if its already there somewhere, I havent find it... Just a list with first some rows or the whole post, click on it, goes to the topic/game.

I have another idea what I miss often, maybe its just me, but... maybe its useful.
So when opening match history, there could be an option where instead of the items, you can see the heroes of your / enemy team, so when you are looking for a specific match you played some time ago and cant remember the stats or items, but the team's composition, it could help a lot, not clicking through 40 games... :D Even as a plus function.

I was looking at the "Friends this month" panel, I was wondering if you could add a winrate for games played with none of your friends? I wanted to compare with my "solo" winrate.
DOTABUFF SHOULD SHOW KDA IN GREEN/RED/GRAY
Right now the Kills are red, deaths are grey and assists are green.
This kind of confuses me and makes it seem (at first glance) like you did a bad job when you have a high KDA.
Wouldn't it make more sense to make deaths red?
I'm not saying it bothers me all that much, nor that I don't love dotabuff (I use it daily, so why would I not like it?), just a minor suggestion I thought off.
Is it really active enough for sub-forums though?
Maybe a forum filter could be used.
They could be added to posts when creating a topic, and people could just choose the topics they want all while keepin git on one forum

Could you make it possibly to exclude a game from the person records? I would like my records to be an actual fair comparison.
Could we get a feature to see players with most games played on individual heroes? Their profiles could be useful for helping to find the best builds for their hero that they no life

Havoc, are you saying that one gimmick game that broke several records at the same time, even though it wasn't a normal game, isn't a fair comparison? Do you even stopped and consider it for one minute bro? How would it be less fair if I took a certain record off the books so the 2nd best record is displayed? It only affects me.
Just an idea for a feature, dunno if it was already suggested. It would be interesting if along with the Plus features which tell us about how many wards placed during a match if we could also see where the wards were placed, maybe on a map or something.

1. Are your socks really Kawaii? If so, please prove.
2. I'm sure there is someone in the DB community that actually cares about post count. Why doesn't DB have one? If the thought is, that post count represents a false sense of experience and people value it over better things, well we already have that. The "semi-respect system" that DB uses is winrate or MMR. So I was just generally curious on why there isn't one.
3. Sub forums. Can we have them ? :( There are a lot of topics to cover in a community and this all thrown together is really unorganized.
