New Calibration Question in General Discussion

    Hi,

a question: I played 10 party games a day after the new season came out. Went 7-3 but that's of less importance, I got calibrated into [Ancient 1] and my party MMR was 4300-ish. Couldn't play for 4 days, logged into Dota today, and saw my party MMR drop for about 300 points. Also, my rank and medal are gone. Went on to play another game, actually won it, got calibrated AGAIN, this time for [Legend 4].

I am baffled by this, did Valve steal 300 of my MMR? Even in the recent activity tab, it says I earned [Ancient 1] 5 days ago. And now it writes I earned [Legend 4]. I worked hard on those games and felt really good when my effort paid off with a move-up in rank. Now I got demoted with an 8-3 record, and the worst thing is I saw my rise which got me really fired up for Dota. Now I just feel cheated.

Can someone explain why this happened? It would make me feel better since I don't really expect anyone returning my MMR or something.

    Have a good one, cheers!

Valve fixed the original calibration. They didnt mean for peoples MMR to be that drastically inflated or deflated so they went back and fixed everyones calibration games + - for MMR. That is why you "lost" your 300 MMR because you never should have had it.

It basically makes it so Legend players (you) actually have to be good and earn Ancient ranking rather than getting it for free in Calibration because they got lucky for 10 games.

      Suck my tiny curry dick

        ^Why are you still alive?

So does anyone know how long is it going to take Valve to sort out their calibration system?
Can I expect more drops/rises in the near future?
Is my MMR finally completely out of my control and I only have limited power over its incline?
Or is it fixed now and we are back to the old +/- 25-ish per game?

Also, is there any maths behind the system that we know of?

I have a Girlfriend. I am also not 15 years old and that joke is for a 15 year old.

I answred your question. The system is fixed. +- 25 a game roughly.

I dont know how to respond to all your idiotic questions but hopefully your brain gets a surge and you can fathom these high complexity concepts

Ah yes, I see you said it really IS fixed.
Okay, thanks sweetie, hope you have a good day :)
