There are other factors included in medals MMR is just 1 of them, i dont know why they are doing it, it just gives people false hopes, but Valve wants you to pay less attention to number and just play games, sometimes i have losing streaks, im nowhere near to next medal and then i win 2-3 games in a row and BAM upgrade 1 star...
If we knew algorithm how they calculate medals people would start abusing so it will forever be a mystery to us... :(
You have consistently better KDA unlike mine. So obviously that is the big factor in medals

I calibrated around 2.4k mmr to archon 2 , now im archon 5 with 2.6k mmr. Why is my medal so high? Btw i never play party ranked in this account.
